We've Been Framed!

Greetings from the 4815 kitchen where the framing continues to progress. Adam brought Tucker in this week to help, and everything is on schedule (knock on wood). These guys opened up the window above where the sink used to be, and will remain. The back window was also punched out and framed in. Next week we're hoping to see the patio windows pulled out and framed for the new door! New beams are going up, and though the pictures don't show it we had some asbestos abatement removal in the basement this week. Not so exciting but necessary. Also, heating plans have been approved with a new zone for the kitchen.

Have you ever worked with a contractor? These guys leave the site neat, orderly, and clean. We can't say enough about how the guys at Terra Firma take pride in their work.

The parting blog shot is of the steps to the basement and side door landing. Finally rid of their carpet and old linoleum, the wood can breathe once again .We're looking forward to seeing them cleaned up and stained.

What's next? More framing, doorways, windows and who knows what. We're officially 4 weeks into the project!
