Materials

Tile – we have chosen the tile for kitchen and bath, and most likely the soapstone for the kitchen counters. Three decorative tiles were ordered from Motawi tile for contrast on the backsplash above the cooktop. The design is a peacock feather, mostly green with a blue eye (last year's color) instead of the current version shown below. I will update the photo when we get the real tiles.

Wood – looks like some wooden treads which we hope to have refinished, and possibly a wooden floor under the kitchen linoleum. Our contractor says, Birch. Keep your fingers crossed.
